Twelve years ago back in 2000, John Singleton directed a remake of Shaft.  Originally played by Richard Roundtree, this remake starred none other than Samuel L. Jackson.  In the same year, McFarlane Toys created a figure based off of the main character. Back in the day, if you wanted quality, McFarlane Toys was hard to beat.  With their... Read more →

Sam Jackson has been the Black man that has been most immortalized in plastic more than any other, so this week I pay tribute to him and his many action figure appearances.  So check out the Review/Preview page and see his plastic likeness on various figures starting with... Read more →

Okay, so how many of you are able to remember the last iteration of the "Super Friends" back in the 1980s?  It was renamed to The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians. It still had Superman, Batman and Robin, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Hawkman, but in the first episode, they introduced a young brother who saved the... Read more →

Okay, so I know I'm about 6-7 months behind in my comic book reading, so that just means I got done reading the "War of the Green Lanterns".  I read the beginning, missed a few issues in the middle, and ended up reading the conclusion.  It seemed to be okay.  Sort of a forced ending.
